Name: An'voro
Gender: Male
Creator: Olorzxx, the Water Elemental
Personality: In general, An'voro is really quite timid. He's easily frightened, and typically opts more toward flight than fight when the going gets rough. Sweet though he may be, courage simply is not a strength of his- although he dearly wishes he could say otherwise. With the way he tends to flinch and start at every little unexpected event, jumpy would be another accurate label. He also tends to be rather wary of strangers at first, and often prefers keeping to himself than socializing, as he often worries he'll somehow screw things up. Needless to say, he is the sort to get nervous very, very easily in social situations, and he's about as awkward in a large group as he is when he attempts to run on land.
Faint-hearted as he is, though, An'voro is a kind, friendly sort. If one can tolerate his twitchy nature, he's fairly easy to get along with, and with a little effort on the part of others, he comes to trust them with few issues. He's not easily angered, takes care to consider others' feelings, and treats everyone as well as he possibly can. Get him comfortable enough, and he can even be a little playful. He loves to race and play games (even if he's not all that good at them), and whether he wins or loses doesn't much matter. For him, it's only the fun that counts, not who comes in first. The only real problem is getting him to relax, but it's certainly not an impossible thing to do. And once he's more familiar with someone, he tends to be somewhat more at ease around them. However, he can also be a little dependent in certain situations, and tends to cling to those he really has faith in.
One of few words, An'voro does not often speak, simply because he rarely feels he has something worthwhile to say. As such, he's not the greatest of conversationalists, but at the very least he tries to accommodate when he is drawn into a chat. Nevertheless, things tend to get a little awkward when he attempts to socialize. Very much a people-pleaser, An'voro is not all that difficult to push around. He just wants everyone to be happy and, as he lacks a strong ability to stand up for himself, he's quite easily bullied into submission. He does have certain morals he would never betray, of course, but in general anyone can convince him to do what they want with the right methods- and gentle persuasion works just as well as harsh treatment.
An'voro is also rather easily distracted. He's constantly forgetting things throughout the day, both important and insignificant. He'd probably lose his own tail if it wasn't attached. Pretty much anything that moves or makes a sudden noise can draw his attention from the task at hand. Strangely enough, though, he's not that bad at multitasking. In fact, doing so is often what gets him so distracted in the first place, at least when he's trying to hold a conversation. Even when he's not preoccupied by something else, he's often lost in his own little world. Repetition is key.
Appearance: Even at first glance, there is no mistaking that An'voro is a Water Creation. From the top of his head to the bottoms of his feet, he is only about four feet tall - rather short in comparison to some. From nose to tail tip, though, his body measures around twelve feet. About half of this length is taken up by his strong tail, which ends in a whale-like fin, perfect for propelling him through the water. Sleek and streamlined, his body was, quite literally, made for swimming; in the water, there are few who can match his speed and grace. Even others of the same Element are often given a run (or rather, swim) for their money. However, on land he is significantly more awkward and slow. Furthermore, An'voro does not have any wings to speak of and, therefore, he cannot fly.
An'voro sports a slightly unusual three pairs of legs, as opposed to the typical two. Short, shark-like fins- pale gray in color- stick out from the elbows of the first four, and each foot sports three semi-webbed toes. Also unlike most, he does not have scales. Instead, his hide has a rubbery texture to it, similar to that of a dolphin. Above, his skin is colored black, while on his underside he is an off white. On his neck, back, and tail are teal markings that somewhat resemble rippling water. Another fin sits on top of his spine, near the base of his neck. Along its front edge is another band of teal. The inside of his mouth sports a total of six curved fangs (three on either side). A pair of white eyebrow markings rest just above his eyes- also colored teal- and from just behind those sprout a pair of thick antennae. The ends of these are rounded, bulging out slightly, and, of course, are teal. Similar appendages can be found near the base of his tail, however, he can't really move any of them. Lastly, everything on his body that is teal, including his eyes, gives off a bio-luminescent glow both at night and simply in the dark.
Other: An'voro has never been much of a fighter, and it is likely that he never will be, partly because he's not all that well-equipped. He has no claws to speak of, or very many other sharp or potentially dangerous appendages. His tail is somewhat strong, and can deliver decent blows when necessary, but really the most he has going for him is his speed. As one who prefers flight over fight, this has saved his hide on multiple occasions in the past. He does, however, have one thing he can use in combat if escape is not an option; his teeth. Long and thin, his fangs somewhat resemble those of a snake in that they are retractable and hollow in order to secrete venom- in his case a weak neurotoxin that, while not deadly, can leave even large dragons temporarily paralyzed.
Additionally, An'voro possesses a sort of radar sense. In other words, he has a heightened awareness of his surroundings, which enables him to navigate even when he can't see. This also enables him to sense nearby sources of energy and motion, and can be quite useful in avoiding harm or hunting prey. However, this sense only has a radius of about fifty feet, and gets progressively weaker the further it is from his body.
Although he calls the Water Territory home, An'voro likes to frequent the Drassil Basin over in the Earth Territory. He enjoys drifting aimlessly through the coral reef that thrives there, and will also occasionally wind his way in between the massive roots of Terra, the gigantic tree at the center of the bay. In contrast, his trips onto land, regardless of the territory, tend to be few and far between.
